Adventuredome
Indoor Amusement Park Under A Pink Glass Dome At Circus Circus, Often Described As The Largest Indoor Theme Park In The United States · Las Vegas, Nevada
Adventuredome is an indoor amusement park under a huge pink glass dome behind the Circus Circus casino on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, often described as the largest indoor theme park in the United States. It opened in 1993 as Grand Slam Canyon, with fake red-rock canyon walls, waterfalls and fibreglass dinosaurs, and some of that theming still frames the rides. Today it packs roller coasters, thrill rides, family rides, rides for small children, carnival games and an arcade into a few acres of air-conditioned space, open all year and in any weather. The headline coasters are Canyon Blaster, an older looping coaster often called the only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew coaster, and El Loco, a short, violent coaster with steep drops and hang time; check the current ride list. Entry is free and you pay for rides by all-day wristband or per ride. It is not a Disney- or Six Flags-scale park, and it can be loud and dated, but for families with children who cannot sit in a casino, or anyone escaping a 110 F afternoon, it is the best answer on the Strip.

NO OPENING TIME HERE WAS CHECKED. The typical pattern: Adventuredome opens daily year-round in the late morning, around 10 or 11 am, and closes in the evening, around 6 pm on quiet weekdays and 9 pm to midnight on weekends, holidays and summer nights; single rides may close early or for maintenance. Free circus acts run at intervals. The traps that ruin a day are arriving after dark on a weekday to find the park closing, buying a wristband before checking that the headline coaster is running, going on a school-holiday afternoon into long queues, walking up the Strip in summer heat, and forgetting to measure children against the height lines. Confirm current times before relying on them.
