Airborne & Special Operations Museum

History Museum · Fayetteville, North Carolina

The U.S. Army museum of the airborne and special operations community, from the first parachute test platoon of 1940 through Normandy, Market Garden, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, the Gulf and after. It stands in downtown Fayetteville rather than on post, so no base access is needed, and it is free. The centrepiece is a full-size C-47 with paratroopers suspended in mid-drop, and the Iron Mike statue outside.

100 Bragg Boulevard, Fayetteville, North Carolina, 28301, United States

FREE and generally open 10 AM to 5 PM Tuesday to Saturday; CLOSED SUNDAYS AND MONDAYS and on federal holidays. The motion simulator and the theatre carry a small charge; the museum itself does not. It is in downtown Fayetteville, geographically separate from Fort Bragg itself, and parking is on site.
