Alabama Music Hall of Fame
Specialty Museum · Tuscumbia, Alabama
A museum in Tuscumbia devoted to musicians from Alabama, which turns out to be a startling list — W. C. Handy, Hank Williams, Nat King Cole, Sun Ra, the Temptations, Lionel Richie, Emmylou Harris, Percy Sledge, the Blind Boys of Alabama and the Muscle Shoals players who backed half of them. The building holds costumes, instruments, gold records and the band Alabama's own tour bus, which you walk through. It sits in the Shoals, ten minutes from the studios where a great deal of it was recorded.
617 Highway 72 West, Tuscumbia, Alabama, 35674, United States
