Alabama Shakespeare Festival

A professional repertory theatre in a purpose-built complex in Blount Cultural Park on the eastern edge of Montgomery, and one of the larger Shakespeare festivals in the world by season length and output. It runs year round rather than for a summer, on two stages — a 750-seat main house and a smaller flexible space — with a company doing Shakespeare alongside contemporary work and a substantial new-play programme. The park it sits in is free, landscaped and shared with the city's art museum.
