Alamere Falls
Waterfall · Bolinas, California
A tidefall — a waterfall that drops directly onto a beach and into the sea, of which there are only a handful in the world and two on the entire California coast. It sits in the Point Reyes wilderness at the end of an eight-mile round trip, and the National Park Service actively discourages the shortcut route because of how many people it has had to rescue from it.
