Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum
National Historic Landmark · Atchison, Kansas
The Gothic Revival house on a bluff above the Missouri River at Atchison where Amelia Earhart was born in 1897 and spent much of her childhood with her grandparents. It is owned and run by the Ninety-Nines, the international organisation of women pilots that Earhart founded and first led, which makes it a memorial kept by her own successors rather than a municipal museum. It is small, and it is the only place that can claim this.
223 North Terrace Street, Atchison, Kansas, 66002, United States
