Apple Hill

Orchard · Camino, California

Around fifty family farms spread across the ridges above Placerville in the Sierra foothills, which open together each autumn for apples, cider, pie and pumpkins. It began in 1964 when sixteen growers banded together after pear blight destroyed their orchards, and it is now the defining autumn outing for the whole Sacramento region.
