Armand Bayou Nature Center
Nature Preserve · Pasadena, Texas
Around two and a half thousand acres of coastal prairie, forest, marsh and bayou between Houston and Galveston Bay — one of the largest urban wilderness preserves in the United States, holding habitat that has almost entirely disappeared from the Texas coast. Bison graze restored prairie here within sight of the petrochemical corridor.
8500 Bay Area Boulevard, Pasadena, Texas, 77507, United States
⚠ ADMISSION, OPENING DAYS AND PROGRAMME PRICING ARE NOT STATED HERE — I could not verify them. Check abnc.org before travelling; nature centres of this kind commonly close one or two days a week. ⚠ Pontoon boat and guided paddle trips on Armand Bayou book separately and are the best thing here — reserve ahead. ⚠ Alligators and a resident bison herd are both present; view from a distance.
