Bandera
Heritage District · Bandera, Texas
A Hill Country town on the Medina River that calls itself the Cowboy Capital of the World, and unlike most such claims this one has the dude ranches, the working saddle shops and the honky-tonks to back it up. It is where people come to actually get on a horse rather than to look at cowboy things in a gift shop.
308 Main Street, Bandera, Texas, 78003, United States
The town is free to walk and always open. ⚠ DUDE RANCH STAYS AND DAY RIDES ARE BOOKED AND PRICED BY INDIVIDUAL OPERATORS — not stated here, and they FILL on summer and holiday weekends, so book before travelling. Hill Country State Natural Area, where most of the riding happens, charges state park entry. Honky-tonks run late at weekends with live music; cover charges vary.
