Baugher's Orchards and Farm

A family orchard outside Westminster that has been worked by the same family since 1904 and which does the full Carroll County set — pick-your-own fruit from strawberries in May through to apples and pumpkins in October, a farm market, a bakery, a small animal area for children and a plain restaurant that has been serving pie at prices from another decade for as long as anyone can remember. It is forty minutes from Baltimore and it is what a working agritourism farm looks like when it is not a themed attraction.

⚠ HIGHLY SEASONAL. Pick-your-own runs roughly May to October and WHAT IS PICKABLE CHANGES WEEK BY WEEK with the weather — check the farm's crop line or website the day you go, not the week before. The farm market, bakery and restaurant keep longer hours and operate well outside the picking season. No admission charge; pick-your-own is priced by weight or container and wagon rides carry a small fee. Autumn Saturdays are very busy and the car park fills.
