Beaver Stadium

Stadium · University Park, Pennsylvania

The home of Penn State football at University Park, and the second-largest stadium in the United States. It was assembled from the steelwork of an earlier stand that was cut into pieces, moved across campus and re-erected on the present site in 1960, then expanded repeatedly until it became one of the largest sporting venues in the world. Seven or eight Saturdays a year it becomes, for an afternoon, one of the largest concentrations of people anywhere in Pennsylvania, and the all-white crowd of a designated White Out game is one of the images American football sells itself with.

Curtin Road, University Park, Pennsylvania, 16802, United States

Open to ticket holders on event days only; there is no general public access to the seating bowl otherwise. The Penn State All-Sports Museum inside the stadium keeps its own daytime hours for a small admission — verify current opening, as the stadium reconstruction has affected access. Football season runs from late August to late November.
