Berkeley Springs State Park

State Park · Berkeley Springs, West Virginia

A state park of a few acres sitting in the middle of the town of Bath, built around the warm mineral springs that made this the first spa in the United States. George Washington bathed here as a young surveyor in 1748, the springs were deeded to the colony of Virginia in 1776 for public use, and the 1815 Roman Bath House still runs walk-in baths.

2 South Washington Street, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, 25411, United States

Park grounds and the public spring tap open daily and free at all reasonable hours. Bath house and spa services operate on daytime hours by session, with advance booking recommended at weekends.
