MARATHON LAKE RECREATION AREA charges a modest day-use fee, keeps seasonal hours and reduces or closes its campground outside the warmer months. The Bienville Pines Scenic Area is free and always open. Hunting seasons are set by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and a state licence is required.
