Bishop Arts District
Heritage District · Dallas, Texas
A few blocks of 1930s storefronts in North Oak Cliff, south of the Trinity from downtown Dallas, that were a streetcar shopping district, then were nearly empty for decades, and are now the most walkable independent restaurant and boutique quarter in the city. It is the one part of Dallas that works entirely on foot.
400 North Bishop Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75208, United States
A public street district, free to walk and open at all times — but individual businesses keep their own hours and ⚠ WEEKDAY MORNINGS CAN FIND MUCH OF IT CLOSED. Evenings and weekend brunch are when it works, and brunch waits are long. ⚠ Street parking is limited and fills on weekend evenings; the DALLAS STREETCAR from downtown across the Houston Street Viaduct is the easier way in and almost no visitor knows it exists. The Texas Theatre, where Oswald was arrested, is five minutes away and still shows films.
