A pumpkin farm in Wheatland, north of Sacramento, that has grown over four decades from a roadside stand into something closer to an autumn theme park — a railroad, a barn full of animals, a corn maze and a full-size mock western town, all of it open for about six weeks a year and shut the other forty-six.
