Blackwater Falls State Park

State Park · Davis, West Virginia

A state park on the Blackwater Canyon rim in Tucker County, built around a 57-foot falls whose water runs amber-brown from the tannins of the hemlock and red spruce upstream. It is the most photographed natural feature in West Virginia, and the park around it carries a lodge, CCC-era cabins, a long winter sled run and the Lindy Point and Pendleton Point canyon overlooks.
