Boothbay Harbor

Beach Town · Boothbay Harbor, Maine

A harbour town of about two thousand on a deep inlet of the mid-coast, and one of the best boating harbours in Maine. It is compact, walkable and unapologetically a summer town: schooners and lobster boats in the water, a wooden footbridge across the harbour, and shops and galleries along Commercial and Townsend. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are a few minutes away, and most people combine the two.

Commercial Street, Boothbay Harbor, Maine, 04538, United States

The town is open at all times and FREE to walk. ⚠ HEAVILY SEASONAL: the harbour runs roughly late May to mid-October, with most shops, galleries, boat operators and a good number of restaurants closed from November to April. The footbridge and the harbour walk are open year-round. Windjammer and puffin cruises are summer only.
