Bradbury Building

Historic Site · Los Angeles, California

A plain brown brick box on Broadway that opens into one of the most extraordinary interiors in America — a five-storey court flooded with light from a glass roof, ringed by open-cage lifts, French wrought iron, Belgian marble and Mexican tile. It was designed in 1893 largely by George Wyman, a draughtsman with no architectural training who, by family account, took the job after consulting a Ouija board.

304 South Broadway, Los Angeles, California, 90013, United States

Typically Mon-Fri 9 AM - 5 PM, limited weekend hours. Lobby and first landing only. Free.
