Cabazon Dinosaurs

Modern Monument · Cabazon, California

A 150-foot concrete Apatosaurus and a 65-foot Tyrannosaurus standing beside Interstate 10 in the desert, built over decades by Claude Bell to pull drivers into his roadside diner. The diner is long gone; the dinosaurs are still there, and Pee-wee Herman made them permanently famous in 1985.
