A Frank Gehry building from 1981 housing what is generally held to be the largest collection of Southern California marine life anywhere in the world. Run by the City of Los Angeles on a suggested donation rather than a fixed ticket, it is best known for the night-time grunion runs it has been leading on the beach outside since the 1960s.
