Caladesi Island State Park
Florida State Park · Dunedin, Florida
One of the few genuinely undeveloped barrier islands left on Florida's Gulf coast, reachable only by the ferry from Honeymoon Island or by private boat. It has been ranked the best beach in America, and because there is no bridge and the last ferry leaves in the afternoon, it empties out completely every evening — which is why it still looks the way it does.
1 Causeway Boulevard, Dunedin, Florida, 34698, United States
Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. Access is by ferry from Honeymoon Island on a limited schedule, or by private boat.
