Canada's Wonderland

Privately Owned Theme Park · Vaughan, Ontario

Canada's largest theme park, in Vaughan about 30 kilometres north of downtown Toronto, opened in 1981 around Wonder Mountain, an artificial peak with a waterfall that is still the park's symbol. ⚠ IT IS ONE OF THE GREAT ROLLER COASTER PARKS OF THE WORLD: Leviathan is a giga coaster about 93 metres tall, Behemoth a steep hyper coaster, and Yukon Striker, opened in 2019, a dive coaster that drops straight down into an underwater tunnel and set records for its type. Around them are a classic wooden coaster, drop towers, family rides, kids' areas, live shows and Splash Works, a large water park included with admission. In autumn the park turns into Halloween Haunt, and a winter festival has run in recent seasons. ⚠ THE PARK IS SEASONAL AND CLOSED IN WINTER EXCEPT FOR SPECIAL EVENTS; SUMMER WEEKENDS BRING LONG LINES AND HEAT.
