Captiva Island

A narrow island north of Sanibel across Blind Pass, five miles long and in places barely wide enough for the road and a house on either side. It is the sunset island — the shoreline curves west where Sanibel's faces south, so Captiva gets the evening the way Sanibel gets the shelling, and the two are usually done as one trip.
