Castroville
Heritage Village · Castroville, Texas
A town west of San Antonio settled in 1844 by immigrants from Alsace, who built steep-roofed stone and timber houses that look like nothing else in Texas and spoke an Alsatian dialect here into living memory. It calls itself the Little Alsace of Texas, and for once the label is precise rather than promotional.
1209 Fiorella Street, Castroville, Texas, 78009, United States
