Charles Schwab Field Omaha
Home Of The NCAA Men'S College World Series (Held In Omaha Since 1950); Home Field Of Creighton University Baseball · Omaha, Nebraska
Charles Schwab Field Omaha is the downtown ballpark that has hosted the NCAA Men's College World Series since it opened in 2011, when the event moved from Rosenblatt Stadium in south Omaha, its home from 1950 to 2010. Built by the city beside the CHI Health Center arena in North Downtown, it is usually described as seating roughly 24,000, with room for more in the outfield general admission sections, and it was called TD Ameritrade Park until a renaming in 2020. For about two weeks in mid to late June it is the centre of American college baseball: eight teams play two double-elimination brackets and a best-of-three final, fans travel from every region, and the streets around the park fill with tailgates, a fan fest and crowds walking up from the Old Market. The rest of the year it is a quiet, open-concourse ballpark used by Creighton University's baseball team in spring, by some conference and school tournaments and by occasional other events. Come in June for the atmosphere; come in any other month and you may find a locked gate, a bronze statue and an empty lot.

NO OPENING TIME HERE WAS CHECKED. The typical pattern: the ballpark is open only for events. During the College World Series, gates usually open about one to two hours before the first pitch of each session, with games starting from late morning to evening, and fans may be cleared between sessions on two-game days; the fan fest area opens earlier in the day. Creighton spring games usually start in the afternoon or early evening. On non-event days the gates are shut and there is no visitor centre. The traps that ruin a day are arriving in the wrong month, missing that each game is a separate session, and losing hours to lightning delays. Confirm current times before relying on them.
