Chicago Children's Museum

Childrens Museum · Chicago, Illinois

A three-storey museum for under-tens on Navy Pier, founded in 1982 by the Junior League when Chicago's public schools cut their arts programmes, and at the pier since 1995. Everything in it is built to be climbed on, dug in or flooded — a fossil dig, a three-storey rope climbing structure, a water gallery children are expected to leave wet from, and a workshop with real tools.

700 East Grand Avenue, Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois, 60611, United States

Generally daily, roughly 9 AM - 4 PM with longer weekend and holiday hours. Timed tickets. Free family evenings have historically run on Thursdays — check the calendar.
