An encyclopedic collection in Eden Park, opened in 1886 and one of the oldest art museums west of the Alleghenies, with general admission free since 2003. Its Cincinnati Wing is the only permanent gallery in the country devoted to the art of a single American city, and it exists because Cincinnati was a genuine centre of nineteenth-century American art manufacture.
