Citi Field

Stadium · Flushing, New York

The New York Mets' ballpark, opened 2009 beside the site of Shea Stadium in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, with a brick and cast-stone exterior and a rotunda modelled on Ebbets Field — ⚠ A TRIBUTE TO A BROOKLYN BALLPARK DEMOLISHED IN 1960, at a Queens stadium, which caused some comment at the time. Its food is widely rated the best in American baseball.

41 Seaver Way, Flushing, New York, 11368, United States

A working ballpark — open on game and event days only, with no general public access outside them. The New York Mets play roughly APRIL TO OCTOBER. ⚠ THE METS MUSEUM AND HALL OF FAME off the Jackie Robinson Rotunda is FREE to ticket-holders. Stadium tours run on non-game days and are ticketed separately. ⚠ THE 7 TRAIN STOPS AT THE GATE at Mets-Willets Point and the LIRR runs a game-day service — there is no reason to drive. ⚠ AVOID DAYS OVERLAPPING WITH THE US OPEN in late August and early September, when the adjacent tennis centre overwhelms the shared station. ⚠ SCHEDULE AND PRICES NOT VERIFIED FOR THIS FILE.
