College Football Hall of Fame
Specialty Museum · Atlanta, Georgia
The sport's hall of fame, moved from South Bend to downtown Atlanta in 2014 and rebuilt as something closer to an interactive attraction than a museum. The entrance wall carries more than seven hundred helmets, one for every programme in the college game, and it lights up the one you support when you scan your ticket — which is a gimmick and is also the thing everyone photographs. There is an indoor playing field at the back where visitors throw and kick.
250 Marietta Street Northwest, Atlanta, Georgia, 30313, United States
Open most days, generally 10:00 to 17:00 with reduced days in some seasons — hours are shorter than the neighbouring downtown attractions and it closes earlier, so verify before arriving late. Closed on some major holidays. Parking is charged separately in the surrounding decks.
