Colonial Parkway

Historic Route · Williamsburg, Virginia

Twenty-three miles of National Park Service road linking Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown — the three places where English America began, was governed and won its independence. There is no advertising on it, no commercial traffic, no development of any kind and no fuel or food for its whole length, and it runs under Williamsburg in a tunnel so that it does not cut the Historic Area in half.
