A four-season resort in the hills at Thompsonville, half an hour south of Traverse City, with a quieter and more wooded character than the bigger Michigan hills. Its distinguishing feature is not on the slopes at all: the Michigan Legacy Art Park, thirty acres of sculpture set through the forest on the property and open to anyone who walks in.
