Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens

Art Museum · Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville's art museum on the bank of the St. Johns, built around Ninah Cummer's house and her gardens and opened after her death in 1958. The Italian and English gardens running down to the river are half the visit, and the Wark Collection of early Meissen porcelain inside is one of the largest anywhere outside Europe — which is not what anyone expects to find in north Florida.

829 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida, 32204, United States

Open Tuesday through Sunday with a late Tuesday. Closed Mondays. Check the free-admission schedule.
