Dakota Territory Air Museum

Specialty Museum · Minot, North Dakota

An aviation museum on North Hill beside Minot International Airport, holding several dozen aircraft with an emphasis on the ones that actually flew over the northern plains - trainers, bush planes, crop dusters and warbirds. A substantial number of the collection are airworthy rather than static, and the museum has become nationally known among warbird people for the quality of the restoration work carried out on site, particularly on rare Second World War fighters.

100 34th Avenue NE, Minot, North Dakota, 58703, United States

Generally open daily in the warmer months, roughly 9 AM to 5 PM, with a modest admission and free parking. ⚠ HOURS AND DAYS ARE REDUCED IN WINTER and the museum can be closed outside the summer season - ring before travelling. Access to the restoration hangar depends on what work is in progress and is not guaranteed on any given day; ask at the desk, because it is the most interesting part of the collection. Fly-in and community events run seasonally and are worth timing a visit around.
