De Leon Springs State Park
Florida State Park · De Leon Springs, Florida
A walled spring pool with a sugar mill beside it that has been converted into a pancake house where every table has its own griddle built into it. Visitors cook their own pancakes from a jug of batter, then swim in a spring that has been a resort since the 1880s. The combination is unlike anything else in the state park system and the queue for a table is often longer than the queue for the water.
601 Ponce De Leon Boulevard, De Leon Springs, Florida, 32130, United States
Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The Old Spanish Sugar Mill restaurant keeps its own hours and does not take bookings.
