DeGray Lake Resort State Park

Arkansas'S Only Resort State Park, On A 13,800 Acre Corps Of Engineers Reservoir In The Ouachita Foothills, With A Lodge On An Island Reached By Causeway, An Eighteen Hole Golf Course And A Marina. · Bismarck, Arkansas

DeGray is the only resort park in the Arkansas system: a ninety-odd-room lodge standing on an island in the middle of a thirteen-thousand-acre lake, joined to the shore by a causeway, with a golf course, a marina, stables and a swimming beach around it. The lake is a Corps of Engineers reservoir in the Ouachita foothills half an hour north of Arkadelphia, and the park runs barge tours onto it - in winter those go looking for bald eagles, which gather here in numbers. It is the closest thing Arkansas has to a full-service lake resort, and because it is a state park the prices are nothing like a private one.

2027 State Park Entrance Road, Bismarck, Arkansas, 71929, United States

Open year-round and Arkansas state parks charge no entrance fee. The lodge, restaurant and marina run year-round with reduced winter service; the swimming beach, boat hire and stables are seasonal. Lodge rooms, cabins and campsites are booked through Arkansas State Parks. Barge tours, including the winter eagle tours, run on a published seasonal schedule and should be booked rather than turned up for.
