Dutch Wonderland
Amusement Park · Lancaster, Pennsylvania
A small amusement park on the Lincoln Highway outside Lancaster, opened in 1963 behind a mock castle facade and marketed ever since as a Kingdom for Kids. It is aimed at children roughly two to ten and makes no pretence otherwise, which is its strength — nearly every ride here can be taken by a five-year-old, which is true of almost no other park in the state. It is owned by the same company as Hersheypark and sits in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, so it is usually the second day of a Lancaster family trip.
