Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park

Florida State Park · Homosassa, Florida

A wildlife park built around a first-magnitude spring, and one of the only places in the world where West Indian manatees can be seen up close every day of the year rather than only in winter. The animals here are rescued and non-releasable natives — Florida panther, red wolf, whooping crane, black bear — and the Fish Bowl underwater observatory floats in the spring itself, putting visitors below the waterline with the manatees and thousands of fish.

4150 South Suncoast Boulevard, Homosassa, Florida, 34446, United States

Open 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, 365 days a year. Last entry is well before closing — check at the gate.
