Falling Waters State Park

Florida State Park · Chipley, Florida

Florida's tallest waterfall, dropping roughly 73 feet into a cylindrical sinkhole and then vanishing underground to a destination nobody has ever traced. A boardwalk runs to an overlook cut into the side of the sink, and the surrounding park holds more sinkholes, a small swimming lake and the remains of an early attempt at drilling for oil in Florida.

1130 State Park Road, Chipley, Florida, 32428, United States

Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The waterfall is rainfall-dependent and can stop entirely in dry weather. The swimming lake is seasonal.
