Florida Southern College

Modern Architecture · Lakeland, Florida

The largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture anywhere in the world — thirteen structures on one campus in Lakeland, built between 1938 and 1958 and linked by a mile and a half of low covered esplanades. Wright called it a Child of the Sun, the college paid partly in student labour because it had almost no money, and the whole ensemble is a National Historic Landmark.

111 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland, Florida, 33801, United States

Campus exterior open daily and free to walk. Guided tours run from the Sharp Center on a set schedule; interior access varies with the academic calendar.
