Fort Clinch State Park

Florida State Park · Fernandina Beach, Florida

One of the best-preserved 19th-century masonry forts in the United States, standing at the northernmost point of Florida where the Amelia River meets the Atlantic. Construction began in 1847 and never finished, which is precisely why so much survives, and rangers in Union uniform work the fort in character on the first weekend of every month. The park around it holds six miles of beach and a mile-long fishing pier.

2601 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach, Florida, 32034, United States

Park open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The fort itself is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
