Fort Stevenson State Park
Subnational Park · Garrison, North Dakota
Five hundred and eighty-six acres on a peninsula reaching into Lake Sakakawea south of Garrison, built around one of the best walleye harbours on the reservoir. The park takes its name from an 1867 Missouri River military post whose actual site lies about two miles south-west, under the water - one of the many things Garrison Dam drowned. A partial reconstruction of the fort's guardhouse stands in the park instead.
1252A 41st Avenue NW, Garrison, North Dakota, 58540, United States
