Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Japanese Garden · Fort Worth, Texas
Around a hundred and ten acres beside the Cultural District, generally described as the oldest botanic garden in Texas, holding a set of distinct gardens of which the Japanese Garden is the one people come for — seven acres of ponds, koi, a moon bridge and maples laid out in the 1970s on the site of an old gravel pit.
3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas, 76107, United States
⚠ HOURS AND ADMISSION ARE NOT STATED HERE — I could not verify them. Check fwbg.org before travelling, and note that ⚠ THE GARDEN MOVED TO PAID ADMISSION IN RECENT YEARS after decades of being largely free — older guides and long-standing residents both get this wrong. ⚠ The Japanese Garden may carry its own arrangement within the wider ticket; ask at the gate. ⚠ NOVEMBER IS MAPLE WEEK in the Japanese Garden and is the busiest of the year.
