An 1,800-acre conservation centre near Glen Rose where you drive your own car through open pasture holding giraffe, rhino, zebra, cheetah and several critically endangered species. It is a serious breeding facility — not a roadside animal park — and much of what you drive past is part of managed international species-survival programmes.
