Frank Lloyd Wright–Prairie School of Architecture Historic District

Heritage District · Oak Park, Illinois

A few residential blocks of Oak Park holding twenty-five buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright — the largest concentration of his work anywhere in the world — alongside houses by Prairie School contemporaries who followed him here. Wright lived and worked in the middle of it for twenty years, and the streets read as a single architect's notebook, from his early historicist commissions to the fully resolved Prairie houses. Almost all of them are private homes.

Forest Avenue and Chicago Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois, 60302, United States

Public streets, free and open at all times. Audio tour and guided walks sold by the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust; guided walks are seasonal.
