Frank Lloyd Wright's Rosenbaum House

National Register Of Historic Places · Florence, Alabama

The only building by Frank Lloyd Wright in Alabama, built in 1940 for Stanley and Mildred Rosenbaum on a slope above the Tennessee River in Florence, and the only one of his Usonian houses that he later returned to and enlarged. Mildred Rosenbaum lived in it for sixty years. The city bought it in 1999, restored it, and now shows it as a museum house with a good deal of Wright's own furniture still in the rooms it was designed for.
