Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Arena · Indianapolis, Indiana

The downtown Indianapolis arena of the Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever, opened in 1999 and designed deliberately against the fashion of its moment — brick and limestone outside, a barrel-vaulted roof, and an interior modelled on the old Indiana high school fieldhouses rather than on a modern arena bowl. It is widely regarded within basketball as the best building in the NBA, and a major renovation completed in 2022 opened the concourses and added a public plaza on Pennsylvania Street.

125 South Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46204, United States

Event-driven. Pacers games October to April, Fever games May to September, plus concerts and tournaments. There is no regular public tour programme. The Bicentennial Unity Plaza outside is open and free year-round.
