Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area

Florida State Recreation Area · Flagler Beach, Florida

A narrow strip of Flagler Beach with the Atlantic on one side of A1A and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other, named for the Florida folk singer who drowned here in 1981 trying to rescue a swimmer. Camping directly behind the dune line is the draw, and the sites are close enough to the water that you sleep to the surf.

3100 South A1A, Flagler Beach, Florida, 32136, United States

Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year.
