Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park

Florida State Park · High Springs, Florida

The newest park in the Florida system, bought from private owners in 2017 after decades as a family-run swimming hole on the Santa Fe River. A second-magnitude spring feeds a short run down to the river, and because it was a campground rather than an attraction it kept the plain, shaded, unimproved feel that the bigger springs have lost.

7450 Northeast 60th Street, High Springs, Florida, 32643, United States

Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The park closes early when capacity is reached, which is common on warm weekends.
