Goodman Theatre
Theater · Chicago, Illinois
Chicago's oldest and largest not-for-profit theatre, founded in 1925 and now occupying a purpose-built pair of houses in the Loop theatre district. It won the Tony for Regional Theatre in 1992, it premieres a great deal of new American writing, and it has staged A Christmas Carol every December since 1978 — which for a large part of Chicago is simply what December is.
