Granbury
Heritage District · Granbury, Texas
A limestone courthouse square southwest of Fort Worth, restored rather than rebuilt and generally reckoned one of the most complete in Texas — an 1886 courthouse in the middle, a working opera house of 1886 on one side, and a lake at the bottom of the hill. It was the first town square in Texas listed on the National Register.
116 West Bridge Street, Granbury, Texas, 76048, United States
The square is free to walk and always open; shops and restaurants keep their own hours. ⚠ THE GRANBURY OPERA HOUSE IS A WORKING 1886 THEATRE WITH A FULL SEASON — check the schedule before picking a date, and note that ticket prices are not stated here. Lake Granbury and the town beach are downhill and a separate stop. Weekends bring Fort Worth; December brings the Christmas lighting and the crowds with it.
